What we did Sat
I brought in my 4×8 raised garden bed and we laid it out as two beds, one on each side of the trellis in the circle. They will be shallow, 6″ high. Suzanne and I cut in the edge of the plot for the boards and turned the center. Della and Amber dug up the other plot. We think we want to plant herbs in the raised beds. Molly was busy restoring another circle plot on the eve of her trip to Spain. Ron and Steve were busy with the pump.
What we need to do on Wed.
Continue work on the raised beds. Someone can restore another circle plot. We will need to water and weed, as always. I think we can also start working inside the enclosed plot on the north side.
YARD SALE
Have you looked over your little used or forgotten possessions to see if you can part with a few things for a good cause? This is a good time to lighten your load and help us out as well. I hear a few people may even bring some baked goods. I’ll be at the garden 2 – 4 Friday afternoon. Look for our silver truck by the back gate. Saturday will also be a work day so we can take turns digging in the dirt and selling treasures. We will start selling at 7:30 AM and my guess is we will quit selling mid afternoon both Saturday and maybe Sunday, if we still have merchandise. And if you want to attend “cultural” events, my paintings are being displayed at the NM Art League behind the Juan Tabo Library and the reception is 5 – 7 on Saturday. Gary’s jewelry will be featured in the Jewelry and More show at Tomé Gallery and the reception will be on Sunday 2-4.
